They include several sitting periods, walking (outdoor walking if weather permits), mindful yoga, eight-form moving meditation, dharma talks. Some may offer optional one-on-one afternoon interview and some may adopt a more flexible schedule suitable for home-setting practice, depending on the teacher and type of retreat. The traditional Chan monastery schedule is modified and adaptable to an online format, starting 8:00 am in the morning, with longer break time and ending at 9:00 pm. Still, it is an intensive retreat designed to make the most efficient use of time in a virtual group practice. There are numerous thirty-minute sitting periods throughout the day.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In addition to sitting meditation, the retreat also includes mindful work practice, walking meditation, chanting, gentle yoga exercise, and loving kindness meditation in the last day. There will be three Dharma talks and some Q&amp;A sessions at the end of talks.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This weekend intensive is an opportunity to pick up or strengthen your practice by sitting together with other practitioners, and receive guidance from the teacher. An intensive retreat in home setting is actually very helpful and powerful in furthering our practice in everyday life.
